Sony’s NSC-GC1 Net-sharing CAM

Sony’s new 5-ounce camcorder is taking aim at the YouTubers with its 5-megapixel sensor which enables it to capture video in MPEG-4 at 15fps QVGA or 30fps VGA resolutions. Nicer still is the ability to pre-format your footage and to publish to video sites. And with the built-in flash, 4x digital zoom, 2.4-inch color LCD, and a rechargeable Li-ion that lasts about 90 minutes per charge, you are set to go.
Do consider that most sub-$200 digital cameras have a 30 fps VGA movie mode and this camera does not have an optical zoom lens, a feature nearly every digital camera and camcorder has. Whichever way you decide, the Sony will be out in September for $200.
