Sony’s Liquid Airbag

Sony has recently applied for a patent on a new "liquid airbag" technology. It is designed for electronics – in particular, for hard disk, but also mobile devices such as cameras and media players. The idea is that the electronics will be wrapped in a fluid-filled bag so if the outer case suffers a shock, the liquid acts as a cushion.
