Smart Shelf

A new "smart bookshelf" will keep track of your books and other media. Developed by two guys from the Netherlands, the system uses small RFID tags implanted into books, DVDs, or various other media that is kept in libraries and businesses.
Data recording an item’s movement on or off the shelf, as well as the its position when not in use is communicated to a terminal, providing the exact physical location.
