Scitec VLP-100 mini projector decidedly underwhelming

Sure, a mini projector can never hope to reach the heights of it’s multi-thousand dollar cousins. Still, Scitec’s VLP-100 seems fairly humble even by those standards. The unit offers up 350 lumens, a 150:1 contrast ratio and a rather sad 320 x 240 resolution. It only costs about $352 and the unit is only two inches thick, so there is a silver lining in there somewhere.

But, spreading that 320 x 240 image over gigantic surfaces?! It is liable to make everything you watch look like a poorly rendered NES game. Notice, I said poorly rendered. It’d be awesome if everything you watched looked like "The Legend of Zelda" or "Super Mario Bros. 2."
