A reliable source inside AT&T has disclosed to MacBlogz, that AT&T has been putting off enabling tethering for the iphone due to fears that the company is unable to provide enough bandwidth.

AT&T, on the other hand, denies this claim saying that Apple hasn’t enabled the feature in their device. Tethering has been available on Blackberry phones but it isn’t until November 4th that Blackberry will release a phone with 3G.

I guess we will have to see how the network handles all the many users, like myself, that will be frantically trying to get their hands on the upcoming Blackberry Bold and tether it to their eee pc’s.
