“Manhunt 2″ Banned By The BBFC

The adult-rated video game, "Manhunt 2" for PS2, PSP and Wii, has been banned in Britain for "sadistic violence." This decision was made by the British Board of Film Classification, who also had issues with the Grand Theft Auto series. The game will be therefore illegal if supplied anywhere in Britain. Unsurprisingly, this decision prompted one American family to campaign for the ban in America, as well, although no officially moves have been made.
"An "Adults Only" rating is the only way to limit children’s exposure to this unique combination of horrific violence and interactivity," group co-founder Susan Linn said in a statement.
Ladies and gentlemen, I implore you. Adults are not children. Do not treat them as such. If adults cannot handle the supposed realistic violence depicted in a video game, then by all reason. they should not be playing it. But do not deny the rest of the playing community from being able to enjoy it if they so choose. And furthermore, give your children a little more credit. Chances are they too know a video game is just that.
