JVC and Sensio Team Up to Make High-End Consumer 3D Projection System

JVC and Sensio have chosen the EHX Fall 2008 conference to announce their partnership on a forthcoming high-end consumer 3D projection system. It purports to be the "very first high-end 3D solution available on the consumer market." It requires a pair of JVC’s costly D-ILA projectors and a Sensio 3D decoding media server. At the conference, the setup was demonstrated by utilizing two $9,000 DLA-RS2 projectors like the one above. The kit won’t be available until sometime in 2009 but the companies have suggested another sneak peek at CES in January.
