Now you can be your very own map builder with Wayfaring, a fun site that lets you create, share, explore and connect with others to build new maps.

Virtually construct a detailed map of your life with routes to events and special destinations. You can also add fun photos and videos to each personalized map and share your maps with friends, family and other Wayfaring users.

Check out the connect feature which allows you to find the most recent and popular maps. By the looks of it, all maps originate from user-friendly Google maps…splendid!

I know that this long list looks scary, but trust me, once you get the hang of it, it’ll be a snap the second time around.

1. Click "Create and Share!" on the left hand side
2. Choose "Blog"
3. Give your photo a Title
4. Leave the category as "general"
5. Change the channel to "technology and gadgets"
6. Add keyword(s) (for example mine for this photo was "Website of the Day")
7. Click on the "Add Image" link below the "body" box
8. A popup window will happen - click on "Browse" to find your image on your computer
9. Once you have the image chosen, click "Submit"
10. The popup will show you your image, choose size: "normal" - if you want, you can give it a title (which will show up as a caption)
11. Click "Insert" and the popup will go away
12. Your "body" box will now have some text in it. Leave it as is. If you want to add some text before the picture telling me why you love the website, do it before the code that has appeared.
13. Click Submit
