AT&T prints money by selling 2.4 million iPhone 3Gs

AT&T released their quarterly earnings report today. The iPhone has, unsurprisingly, made them an absolutely obscene amount of money. Apples third generation iPhone sold 2.4 million units and forty percent of those were to new customers. Thus, let me break out the calculator, that’s approximately 960,000 new AT&T users. Their plan is working! Everyone hemmed and hawed and said "No way will this great new gadget tether me to another company!" Slowly but surely, in the face of Apple-y goodness, our resolves are shrinking.
