Welcome to NerdGrind, the friendliest, and most complete source of how-to articles anywhere.

What is NerdGrind?

NerdGrind was started in 2008 to create an easy to use, and complete, resource for how-to information. For years I had searched for solutions for many technical problems, both simple and complex, and found incorrect, poorly written, or incomplete information. Each topic on NerdGrind is written to solve a particular problem, or help provide a complete, and correct, answer to a question.

Can I email the Nerd a question?

Absolutely. I may not be able to respond right away, but I read every email. I will try to write a how-to solution to address your question as soon as humanly possible. The forums, coming soon, will hopefully make it even easier to get prompt assistance.

Who is the intended NerdGrind audience?

Beginners, intermediate, and expert computer users. NerdGrind will offer articles ranging from simply daily computer tasks, to hardcore programming, on Windows, Apple, and Linux operating systems. NerdGrind will develop into a one-stop resource.

How to I find information?

In the sidebar there is a list of topics. Click a topic on that list and the next page will reveal a list of subtopics with a list of articles for each. I’ve tried to make it as easy as possible to find what you’re looking for. If you can’t, try the search box.

Can I write for NerdGrind?

NerdGrind is meant to be a community effort. We need everyone to contribute what they have to offer so everyone can benefit from the resources provided here. You can write for NerdGrind in two ways:

1) Email the Nerd your screen shots, and article, or
2) Email the Nerd with your technical qualifications, and topics you’d like to write about, and I’ll get you setup.

What else can I do to help?

Tell a bunch of your friends. The more readers NerdGrind has, the more time can be devoted to writing about many different topics. More support for NerdGrind means more friendly and complete how-to information for you.

Does NerdGrind provide tech news?

Not at this time. If you’d like to write articles on tech and gadget news, like you see on Engadget, you must meet certain requirements. Readers require timely, complete, and up-to-date information. To write tech and gadget articles for NerdGrind you must be able to write a minimum of 10 articles per day. You can find the article information at any of the tech news blogs, but you have to rewrite the information in your own words for NerdGrind. If you can do all that I’ll set you up, and setup a revenue share for you on the articles you write, but you’ll need a Google AdSense account. You must also have experience blogging, and preferably experience tech news blogging.
